Pontfaen YFC have great Success at Brecknock YFC Eisteddfod

On Sunday 29th October 2017 members competed in the Brecknock Federation of Young Farmers’ clubs Eisteddfod at Christ College, Brecon.  

The Eisteddfod competitions showcased Brecknock member’s talents in both English and Welsh. Starting off with the Solo 26 and under competition and concluding with a high entry in the Story & Sound Competition.  The overall winners of the day were Pontfaen YFC with Sennybridge YFC in second place and Erwood YFC in third place.  The winner of the “Gwobor Goff Iorwerth & Bets Davies” trophy for the Best Musical item went to Sian Healey, Pontfaen YFC with her entry in the Musical or Film solo.

The winners from this year’s Eisteddfod will now go forward to represent the County in the Wales YFC Eisteddfod taking place on Saturday 18th November at Venue Cymru, Llandudno.

Welsh Reading 14 years & Under – Troedrhiwdalar YFC

English Speaking 16 years or Under – Troedrhiwdalar YFC

Intermediate Brainstrust – Pontfaen YFC
