NFU Cymru proud to support Brecknock YFC
NFU Cymru has once again shown its support to Brecknock YFC through committing to sponsor the county Federation’s stockjudging competition.
The annual event, which was held recently, attracted over 60 members aged between 10 and 26 to compete against each other in a range of competitions; pig judging, beef judging, Dairy Cattle, butchers lamb judging and an animal health questionnaire.
Colin Millichap, Brecon and Radnor NFU Cymru County Chairman explained why helping young farmers is so important to NFU Cymru. He said: “The wide variety of activities the YFC offer are essential to rural life and the farming industry in Wales. NFU Cymru is delighted to be able to sponsor Brecknock’s stockjudging competition.”
Mark Powell, Brecknock YFC County Chairman, said: “Our partnership with NFU Cymru is invaluable in allowing our members the opportunity to participate in competitions that contribute to their ongoing personal development. The sponsorship has meant that many young farmers will have the opportunity to take part in competitions such as stockjudging, so on behalf of our members I would like to thank NFU Cymru for their generous donation.”
