Community Challenge Week

Brecknock YFC held a Community Project Weekend on the weekend of June 28th following a challenge set by Kate Miles, Wales YFC Chairman for counties to focus more on community work.


The Community Project weekend saw each of the 13 clubs in the county carry out different events within their area. The events were as follows:

 

  • Beulah YFC held a “Blooming Great Tea Party” in aid of Marie Curie
  • Builth YFC held a mini concert with tea and cake at Brynhyfred Care Home.
  • Bwlch & Crickhowell YFC held a Community Village Treasure Hunt followed by a BBQ
  • Erwood YFC held a coffee morning and a “cash for clothes”
  • Libanus YFC got together to clean and weed the local area
  • Llandefalle YFC helped their community by cleaning the local hall.
  • Lanigon YFC held a litter pick
  • Pontfaen YFC tidied the church yard
  • Sennybridge YFC joint with Trecastle YFC and cleaned the local recycling area.
  • Talgarth YFC held a litter pick
  • Troedrhiwdalar YFC cleaned up the local church yard
  • Ystradfellte YFC did a litter pick.
